Early Intervention

Early Intervention refers to providing support for your child to address his/her symptoms as early as possible. According to research, starting intervention as young as possible is most effective in helping the development of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Families can access support even before obtaining a diagnosis, especially as it can take months for all assessments to be completed.

At Irabina, therapies are provided in the form of trans-disciplinary groups, and/or individual treatment approaches. They are based on the key elements of Early Intervention for children with autism, as described by Prior, Roberts, Rodger, and Williams (2011).
